Yoni Steam
Yoni steaming, also known as vaginal steaming or V-steaming, is a traditional self-care practice in which a woman sits or squats over a warm pot of herbal-infused steam. The steam rises and is thought to gently cleanse, nourish, and revitalize the vaginal and uterine tissues.
This practice has roots in various traditional healing systems, including Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), African, Central American, and Indigenous healing practices.
How It’s Done:
- A blend of herbs (commonly mugwort, basil, rosemary, calendula, lavender, and oregano) is steeped in hot water.
- The woman sits over the steaming herbs, typically on a specially designed seat or a steam stool, with a blanket or towel draped to keep the steam contained.
